With about 140,000 residents and architectural marvels awaiting you around every corner, Aix-en-Provence is a terrific destination for a day trip (if you’re planning to stay in another nearby city) or to use as your home-base for experiencing the Southern France region. The town is quite pedestrian-friendly, with most of the central streets closed to public traffic, making it ideal for sightseeing. Getting to Aix is easy on the TGV (high-speed train) or by car if you decide to rent one, and once you’re here you have many hotel accommodations to choose from that will make your stay extra special.
