Aix-en-Provence Guided-Tours Walking Tours of Aix

Wherever I go on vacation, I love to wander through the touristy parts of a city and also seek out the “hidden” treasures located on and off the beaten path. Aix-en-Provence is fabulous for this. The town is very pedestrian-friendly and a lot of ground can be covered in a relatively short amount of time. As your local personal tour guide, I will create a guided tour of Aix-en-Provence customized to what you’re most interested in experiencing.

Aix-en-Provence Guided Tours

My walking tours of Aix-en-Provence typically begin in the iconic Mazarin Quarter, passing by some of the many fountains and 17th century private mansions that epitomize this wonder of Southern France. Next we’ll stroll the labyrinth of narrow streets in old town, where we’ll uncover small squares tucked just off the beaten path, visit roman ruins, and peruse the Provençal shops before finishing at the awe-inspiring Fontaine de la Rotonde.

We’ll take time to pause at some of Aix-en-Provence’s famous (and not so famous) historical landmarks, and I’ll provide you with the insights of a local resident who is passionate about her city. Our route can be customized to your specific interests, so if you’d like to spend more time at our fabulous market or maybe take longer to browse through some of the many déco shops and stylish boutiques to find that perfect local item, I will cater to you!

We absolutely loved our walking tour with Erin! It was the perfect way to get a better feel for Aix and learn about the the history of the city. Erin was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed hearing her stories about moving to Aix with her family from the US. She also gave us great recommendations on where to eat, visit, have a drink/coffee, etc. Highly recommend this tour to others! – Sophie K.
