TGV – Did You Know?

The TGV system in France is wonderful, enabling rapid access to and from many destinations within the country. Operated by national rail provider SNCF, the trains travel at speeds reaching up to 180 kilometers per hour and yet are whisper silent for passengers as they relax while watching the vibrant colors of the countryside zip by and enjoy coffee with snacks in one of the dining cars. It’s easy to wake up in Paris and be seated at a bistro along the Cours Mirabeau in Aix for lunch! The Aix TGV station is located about 20-minutes outside of the city, so plan on taking a taxi, Uber or bus if you decide this is something you’d like to try.
